Well...here he is! Little Joe! Josiah Parker arrived on October 10th at 3:07 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz., and was 19 1/2 inches long. He's been a pretty good baby so far. As you can see, his sisters love him and are always "worrying" about him, wanting to know what we're doing with him, what he's doing, etc. We've adusted pretty well so far and I'm enjoying not being pregnant!!!

Three little kittens....

The girls went to a "Fun Festival" in Farmington before the 4th of July with cousin Bailey. All three girls wanted to have their faces painted like kitties. They were so cute!

Here our little peep in her new cast. She was hoping for a pink one, but they only had red or white. (Daddy tried to talk her into getting a red one last night...for the Cardinals). She's doing well with it so far, though she asked me to take it off at lunch....she couldn't quite grasp why mommy couldn't just take it off like we did with the splint. We had a few tears at the dr's office, but otherwise, she's been a real trooper. She's enjoying learning and showing off how she can still do everyday things with her cast on.

They tore/pushed this HUGE tree down on Grandma and Grandpa Kennelly's farm last month. The girls were actually a bit scared of being up on top of it for this picture! Strange to think that this tree may have been around before our nation was founded!

Here are some "winter" pictures. Katie LOVES being outside...no matter how cold her little fingers get! She is a little Darin...always trying to climb the biggest moutain of snow. Maddie...well...she's a bit more like mom...she doesn't like being out in the snow if it's windy or if she can't walk in it (which she couldn't after we got a foot of snow). She's quick to tell me when she's cold and ready to go inside! The last two pictures are from after we came inside after the first real snow and had hot chocolate for the first time all winter (the first time ever for Maddie). Maddie LOVED the chocolate and marshmallow! Katie decided to "pose" for the picture...something she's into doing right now.

Here are some pictures of the girls from last fall. I love watching them love on each other! In November, we took our first trip to a pumpkin patch to pick out our own pumpkins...as you can see, Maddie was enjoying herself!

Here are some pictures of our vacation to the family cabin in Minnesota. The last time Darin and I were there, I was 7 months pregnant with Katie. This time, we took these two little blessings with us. Both girls enjoyed their first boat ride, swim in the (cold) lake, and Katie "caught" her first fish. We spent four days with all of my siblings and their families. We enjoyed playing on the water, games in the cabin, shopping, and a fiesta night with a pinata, tacos, Latin music, and mustaches painted on every member of the family. :) Katie got sick the night before we were to return to IL, so the girls and I stayed a few more days with my parents and returned home with them three days later. Many memories were made that week.

She wants to walk to keep up with sissy, but her legs and feet are coordinated enough just yet. She has learned how to reach Katie's toys and books, much to Katie's dismay. Darin & I are playing referee a lot nowadays.

This was Katie at Grandma and Grandpa Kennelly's Easter Egg hunt. She's talking really well know. Darin and I have to really watch what we say now as she is copying everything we say. It's wonderful to finally know what's been going on in that little blonde head.

It was 73 degrees and sunny today, so Maddie had her first ride in the swing. Both girls love being outside. We're anxiously waiting to see what "treasures" bloom in our yard this spring.

Maddie is learning to get around on her own. She's finally gone from an army crawl to crawling on her hands and knees. I noticed tonight that she's got terrible floor/rug burn on her knees.

This is Katie learning about being a good mommy while she's learning to use the potty chair. She's finally learning to talk better, too. She's quite a good little helper. She and Maddie love each other and are great buddies. We hope that it stays that way as they grow up.
